Marketing Beyond the 4Ps

Traditional marketing focuses on four elements. Ad Astra works across eleven interconnected dimensions. This is our framework for building sustainable growth, in any industry.

01

The Old Model

Four elements were never going to be enough

Product, Price, Place and Promotion built the discipline of marketing, and they still matter. But they were designed for a market with fewer channels, slower customers and far less competition for attention.

That model describes what you sell and how you sell it. It says almost nothing about why your team exists, how personal the experience feels, who stands behind you, or what happens after the sale closes, and those are exactly the places most businesses lose ground to a competitor with a thinner offer and a sharper operation.

Our Framework

Eleven Ps: our trademark methodology

Every engagement, regardless of industry, gets read against all eleven. Some dimensions need more work than others in any given quarter, but none of them get ignored.

01

Purpose

Before a strategy or a single asset gets built, we define why it exists. Talented people and clever campaigns only compound when everyone involved understands the direction they're pulling in.

02

Planning

Objectives, budgets, timelines and a clear-eyed read of the competitive landscape, set before a dollar moves. A plan built on assumption gets expensive fast; ours gets built on research.

03

Process

A repeatable, transparent operating system, from first consultation through to delivery, so quality doesn't depend on which day of the week the work gets done or who happens to be free.

04

Product

The offer itself has to earn its place in the market. We help sharpen what makes it genuinely different, not just what the brief says makes it different.

05

Positioning

The space you occupy in a customer's mind before they've spoken to you. Get there first, get there clearly, and price and preference both move in your favour.

06

Personalisation

People buy from businesses that make them feel understood, not processed. We build the systems that let personal attention scale past the size where it usually disappears.

07

Partnerships

Growth compounds faster inside a network: referrers, suppliers, industry relationships that generate inbound opportunity without a media dollar behind it. Relationships are a channel too.

08

Pricing

Pricing is a signal, not just a number. We build pricing strategy around perceived value, competitive position and margin, not a cost-plus guess.

09

Promotion

The message and the media plan that carry everything above to market, sequenced across the channels your actual customers use, not the ones that are easiest to book.

10

Productivity

The internal systems, tools and accountability that turn a good plan into consistent delivery. Ideas are cheap; the operating discipline behind them is where results actually come from.

11

Post-Purchase Delivery

The sale is the middle of the relationship, not the end of it. A small increase in retention produces an outsized increase in profit, so the experience after purchase is where we keep working.

03

Why It Matters

One framework, applied to any market you're in

The Four Ps ask what you're selling and how. The eleven ask why the business exists, who's behind it, how it feels to buy from, who it stands with, and what happens after the sale, the questions that actually decide whether growth compounds or resets every quarter.

That's what makes it a framework rather than a checklist: the eleven dimensions interact. Positioning without personalisation reads as arrogant. Promotion without productivity behind it collapses under its own volume. We plan and measure all eleven together, which is why the same framework holds up whether the business sells property, software, professional services or something we haven't seen yet.

This is the operating system behind every engagement at Ad Astra Marketing, not a slide we show once and file away.
